Got Milk??

We do! Finally!! We are now eating 100% whole milk! YAAAAAYYYYY! No more formula for us. Our pocket book is grateful. I never thought this day would come! Luckily we bought a little fridge for the girls room and it's FULL of just milk for the girls. (well there is a thing of yogurt for tony and some jell-o, but that's it). We wouldn't have room for more than two at a time otherwise. I certainly don't have time to run to the store every other day! We are so excited. We had a little "no more formula party" when we finished the last bit. We did the DANCE OF JOY!! Do it with me now--- *****dancing***** OK, thanks for sharing in our happiness!

I hate this day

Daylight Savings. The bane of my existence. You wouldn't think an hour would make a big difference, but for me it does. It always has. And now that I have children who I am trying to get to be 'normal' sleepers/eaters/whatever-else- ers , it's an even bigger deal. See, babies don't go by clocks. They have internal clocks. They don't know to adjust an hour for crying out loud! So they are pretty much going to go to sleep at their regular time and wake up at their regular time. The thought of going to bed and waking up an hour later than we already do literally makes me want to throw up. And I do not know how to break this cycle. I just don't have the energy. Sleep is so precious that losing that hour is just....oh I just dread it. Now, I know that if daylight savings is the worst thing to ever happen to me, my life would therefore be perfect and I would never have a reason to complain again. But I hate it and see no point to it so I decided to mention my fee...

***Sickies Update***

Oh man. I got it....whatever it is. I had the audacity to think that somehow 'it' would miss me--even though every single person around me was sick. Stupid. So, I have a moment to blog because I've been banned from doing anything else until I get better. Thank you, dear! :) We finally buckled down and took all three girls to the doctor yesterday. Doc looked at Ashleigh first since she has been sick the longest. He put the stethoscope up to her chest and said immediately, "She has pneumonia." I knew it. I just knew her breathing and cough sounded worse than 'just a cough' or her normal asthma. Then he looked at Avery and said she had bronchitis and an ear infection. 2 down, one to go. Jordyn was then diagnosed with some lung infection with reactive airway and is on two different inhalers. FANTASTIC. So now we've got three different medication schedules, added to the other already existing treatments, to keep track of. It really reminds me of when the f...

Take a flying leap....

'Cause it's leap day! ha! My first as a mother, making it my children's first, too! (obviously) I wanted to do something fun for it, but I couldn't figure out anything appropriate. The closest thing was Avery jumping off the couch--head first, of course. I caught her within millimeters of hitting and said to her "I know it's leap day and all, but that's getting a bit rediculous!". And, as if she understood, laughed---as her crazy self always does when she does something crazy. Granted, it's only a foot to fall and it's not like she hasn't done it before! I think she was just a few months old the first time, haha. I'm such a great mother. Oh well...that's life for me. Speaking of my life, my girls are sick again. We've been so fortunate to make it all winter without illness (sort of..you'll understand if you've read any previous posts). I am currently wrestling Jordyn, who was sound asleep until she coughed and cried hers...

Doctor and etc.

Well it's been a crazy few weeks. I feel like I say that a lot..... The girls had their one year immunizations on the 17th. Yay. It's always so fun to be at the doctors office. We try to sit as far away from all the other ill people but it's a small waiting room. And it always takes at least 1.5 hours from start to finish (but usually 2) because it takes three times as long (obviously). Then we have to get them poked. They LOVE that part. Actually, they recover within 15 seconds usually. So it's not that bad. But they always have fevers and stuff the following day or three. Fun. (side note---All three got sick with high fevers and icky noses. grrrr. we keep them inside to protect them until they are ready to fight things off on their own and they get sick at the doctor's office when they go to get their shots. Fabulous.) Anyway----As we were getting ready to leave, the doctor leaves the room and brings in another doctor. She comes in, all smiles, and is looking at ...

Happy Late 2008!

I thought I posted a New Years blog, but I guess not! So-----Happy New Year! We are so excited to start a new year and have a sybolic and literal fresh start in our lives. I don't make official resolutions because I end up feeling more guilt than I already do about the stuff I don't get done. But what I DO do is constantly work on improving myself in all areas-including: mental, physical, emotional and spiritual. If I wrote out everything I needed to do in each category, it would take me SEVERAL new years to even get through it all. But as long as I'm constantly striving to make changes for the better, that's all I can hope for! I guess that makes me feel somewhat better about my lack of accomplishment. :) I am so happy with my life and I am grateful for the past wonderful and crazy year. I can't wait to see what new adventures this year will bring! So, here's to no resolutions!! CHEERS!

WE'RE ONE!!!! Phew!

We made it! What a crazy couple of days it has been. And we are just beginning. The next few years (and for eternity!) are only going to be worse---but they will be even more fun, too! The girls first Christmas was a success! They really enjoyed their gifts...er...actually the tissue paper, but that was expected. They didn't quite understand the "rip the paper to get the present" part. :) I'm sure they thought they'd get in trouble because I take away their books or magazines when they tear the pages. They are so smart! Tony's parents came over and we had dinner and opened presents. The girls had a great day. Happy First Christmas girls! The next day my mom and oldest sister, Shaunie, flew into town. They had an interesting trip, to say the least. Their (20 minute delayed) flight left a snowy Idaho around 1:30PM, arrived with 10 minutes to spare before their already boarding connector in Utah. But when they got to the gate (5 minutes early) the flight attendan...
