I can't even believe it! What a long strange trip it's been....

And Katie--Um---now that WOULD be interesting...haha. I'm glad you can read :) That thought had never crossed my mind but now that you mention it, it does look like that's what I'm saying. But for waaaaaaayyyy future notice, I wouldn't just lead with that news. :D

I started this post back in October. Here is what I wrote back then: "It's almost like someone just flipped a switch. ---Literally--- yesterday my girls were not very verbal and used a series of annoying 'grunts' and 'whines' and all manner of chalkboard-scratching-like noises. But all of the sudden--they are saying words! Not just 'mama' and ' dada ' and 'night-night'. Things like 'blanket' (bin- tet or binty ), 'box', 'open' (ope- ee ), 'stuck' and other seriously cute things, some of which we had no idea they even knew. Jordyn is still quite behind and just doesn't know how to form her words yet, but she does try. Avery's voice is the absolute most adorable little tiny high-pitched pixie voice. *Thanksgiving 2010*

Here is a short recap of Thanksgiving. It was pretty low-key and we hosted at our house. I asked the girls what they were grateful for. Here is what they said: 1. Ashleigh: "mommy and daddy....ummm.....ummmmm....." 2. Jordyn : : " ummmm ....I'm grateful for...ummmmm......Jesus and Heavenly Father." 3. Avery: "mommy, nana , papa, all the nice food we have, grandma, grandpa, Tinkerbell, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Jasmine and Belle. And for hearts." It was like pulling teeth for everyone but Avery, who is thankful last of all for "hearts". Um...? I don't know if she meant, like, our beating hearts in our bodies or just the "heart" shape?? Who knows. But it made me laugh. I know they are grateful for many things, but it's hard to come up with them when you are put on the spot. So Precious

I was taking pictures for a new listing the other day and saw this little humming bird nest near the front door. I had to take a picture and post it because its darned close to the cutest thing ever. There is no frame of reference to show the size, but the entire nest itself is close to the size of a silver dollar (which, do they even make anymore?) and the two little eggs inside were like the size of two perfect, tiny, white jelly beans.
