  3. riding our rocking animals: zoe the zebra (not pictured), betty the butterfly and stanly the snail
  4. wearing hats--any and all kinds.... EXCEPT for the ones mommy wants us to wear.
  5. playing on daddy's strong legs; especially when he lifts us in the air----all at the same time!

"Is that....paint?!?"

"Why, yes! Yes, that IS paint!" (A gallon of paint, to be exact. And, yes, that is my car. The driver's seat, actually.) That was my response to the nosey man, with a 6 year old child in tow, who was in line ahead of me at the car detailer. It's as if NO ONE has ever seen a little paint spilled before.... It's just paint people, keep walkin'! :) As you can imagine, I drew a crowd. It all started when I was on my way back to Lowe's (with offending paint can on the floor behind my seat) to buy a few more supplies, including a small tube of blue paint to be used to tint the paint that was currently still in it's can . I only had an hour until the girls got up from their naps and had to relieve my mother-in-law from her kid-watching-post, so I knew I had to be super duper fast. Veni, Vidi, Vici!

I came, I saw, I conquered! Well, I'm working on the conquering part. We all need to toot our own horns occasionally, so I am going to take a brief moment to do so. I know that whenever I get anything done, it makes me motivated to something else. Do you feel that way too? It's like the momentum takes over and you just start rolling! I usually roll right into a brick wall (i.e. children, etc.) And we, as parents, don't get the praise we should sometimes because it's just expected we do 'stuff'. Well, I have pretty much just made sure no one died in the past 15.5 months and the effects on my house are very evident. I like to be neat and organized. I hate clutter. Well, I've been living in massive amounts of clutter and it's just overwhelming and depressing, but it's not like I'm ignoring it on purpose. I make a small dent and it gets covered up 2 seconds later. Can I tell you how sick I am of filling the toy bin to just have the girls think I did...

Noun 1. happy celebration: a spirit of joy and festivity That pretty much sums up our holidays perfectly! It all started with an all day Christmas Eve cheesy Lifetime movie marathon ( for me ); then once the girls were in bed for the night, I changed into my warm 'star' fleece pj's, curled up with a blanket and enjoyed a glass of (milk-diluted) egg nog complete with whipped cream and nutmeg sprinkled on top. Tony and I watched a couple more Christmas movies together and I just looked at him and said "This is the perfect Christmas Eve." I was so content and happy. And it was so good to feel that way.
